The EU project WALTER invites you to a compliance and interop testing event for PHY and MAC (platform) implementations based on the WiMedia standard. The PHY testing is provided by onsite support of Agilent and the platform testing by onsite support of Ellisys. The testing is intended to be in compliance with corresponding WiMedia certification procedures.
This event should give interested companies with implementations based on the WiMedia standard the possibility of executing the compliance and interop tests on their devices in the transition time between the activities of WiMedia and the newly started activities in the receiving SIGs (Bluetooth SIG and USB-IF).
Evaluation for potential WiMedia PHY Certification will be available.
Evaluation for potential WiMedia Platform Certification at this event will be possible, provided that there are at least three independently-developed implementations participating. Waivers for non-compliance to WiMedia specifications will only be possible using existing exceptions to participating implementations due to resource constraints.
Interested parties should be made aware that in conjunction with this event the WALTER/EUWB DAA evaluation and tutorial event is held.. The DAA evaluation and tutorial event starts Monday the 6th of July. DAA evaluation testing continues in the remainder of the week. For further details, please follow this link.
This event is assisted by Ellisys and Agilent.
